App Design Terms
What we commit to, what we need from you, and how your app design runs from idea to files ready to build
Applies to: All app design orders · Version design-2026.10 · effective 28 October 2026
01Scope
Who these terms apply to
These terms apply to every app design order accepted under a Ryplaced Work quotation. They are read together with the quotation and the service agreement.
If they differ: the quotation's prices, scope, platforms, screen count, revision rounds and dates take precedence, then these terms, then the service agreement.
02What we deliver
Design only, no development
We design your app from idea to files ready to build. The service does not include programming, hosting, app store publishing, or development or maintenance after handoff, unless the quotation says so expressly.
03How a project runs
From discovery to handoff
Dates count working days from the later of the discovery session and our receipt of what we need from you to start.
| Step | You | Ryplaced Work |
|---|---|---|
| Discovery | The idea, goals, users, platforms and constraints | Questions to complete the picture |
| Flows and screen map | Written approval or notes | The user journey and the screen list |
| Wireframes | Written approval or notes | The structure and layout of each screen |
| UI design | Review within the revision window | The screens in your brand |
| Interactive prototype | Trying it and your notes | Linking the screens into a clickable prototype |
| Figma handoff | Naming who receives the files | Organised files with specifications and notes for the developer |
04Approvals
Approvals, and when we don't hear back
Approval is in writing; email or WhatsApp is enough. Each step builds on the one approved before it: wireframes start after the screen map is approved, and UI design after the wireframes are approved.
If we hear nothing within 5 working days of sending a step or a delivery, that step counts as approved and the work moves on. Any change after that is a revision round or new work.
05Screens and revisions
What is a revision, and what is new work
The quotation sets the platforms, the screen count or scope, and the revision rounds for each step. Revisions are asked for within 5 working days of delivery. Unused rounds end with the order, and an extra round or extra screens are charged as listed in the quotation.
A revision
- Changing an element or text on an approved screen
- Adjusting colour, type and spacing within the approved look
- Rearranging a screen's elements
New work
- Screens, features or journeys not in the approved screen map
- A new brand or visual direction after the design is approved
- A platform or device size not agreed
06The prototype
The prototype is not a working app
The prototype links the designed screens so you can try moving between them before development. It holds no real data, logic or servers, and it is not a version to publish or for users to use.
07Building the app
The developer you choose
You choose who builds the app. We design to the agreed platforms' guidelines, but development, performance, security, device compatibility and store acceptance are the responsibility of whoever builds it.
08Your materials
Your materials and your content
You confirm you may use everything you give us (logos, images, text and content) and that it infringes no one's rights. You are responsible for the accuracy of the content and claims your app shows, and for its compliance with the laws that apply to your business.
09Third-party assets
Fonts, icons and images
We prefer openly licensed assets. Fonts, icons, illustrations and stock images stay under their owners' licences, and the quotation names any paid licence you need to buy in your own name to use them in the app.
10Rights
Ownership of the design files
Once the design files are delivered and paid in full, they are yours: the Figma files, the prototype and the exported assets we designed for you. You may use them, change them and give them to any developer or development company, without limit in time.
Ownership does not include third-party assets, which stay under their owners' licences, nor the working tools and general components we use across all our projects. We may show the design in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
11Confidentiality
Your idea and your information
We keep your app idea and your information confidential as the service agreement says, and share them only with those working on your order. Our privacy notice applies.
12Payment
Payment and cancellation
An order is paid as its quotation states: in full upfront, or in two parts, an advance before work starts and the balance once you approve the wireframes, before UI design starts. No payment is refunded once made; what was paid for is delivered as agreed, within the time limits in these terms.
13Delays
When what we need from you is late
If materials or approvals reach us more than 5 working days after we ask, the schedule moves by the same time. After 20 working days without a reply, the order counts as delivered as far as it could go, and remaining revision rounds end.
14Delivery
Delivery, acceptance and file keeping
We hand over the Figma files by transferring them to your account or to the account you name, with the prototype and the specifications. A delivery is accepted unless revisions are asked for within 5 working days. We keep a copy of the files for 90 days after handoff; after that a resend may not be possible.
15
Liability
Ryplaced Work is not liable for any loss arising from the design or the service, including indirect losses and lost profit, the cost or time of development, app store decisions, the work of the developer you choose, and any claim arising from material or instructions you supplied. You indemnify us for any claim caused by the materials, content or instructions you supplied.
Nothing above excludes liability that Kuwaiti law does not allow to be excluded, such as for fraud or gross error. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited in total to the fees paid for the order concerned.
16Pausing
Pausing or ending an order
We may pause or end an order for non-payment, abusive conduct, or a request to design an app that breaks the laws of the State of Kuwait. Payments are not refunded.
17Versions
Changes to these terms
Each version of these terms has a number and a date. Each order is governed by the version accepted with its quotation; a new version applies only to new orders.
18Law
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait.
In short: we design your app with care, the design files are yours once paid, and you choose who builds it. Approvals keep the work on time, and prices, screens, platforms and dates are set in your quotation.
